Journey To Wellness Signature Course Class #6 Move It & Improve It

In our Journey to Wellness Signature Course, we continue with Class #6, Move It & Improve It.  This is Part #2 of the two-part Cholesterol Section.  This class starts with a review of the lipid panel goals and which level is most influenced by exercise.  We help you understand the importance of exercise in any health plan and recognize some truths and some myths about exercise.

 

An explanation of the 4 Components of Fitness including benefits and guidelines for each is important when planning an exercise strategy.  All four should be understood and included.  We review examples of light, moderate and vigorous intensity exercises. 

 

We also explore core strengthening techniques with a demonstration of a breathing exercise that strengthens the core muscles.   We show you how to implement an exercise plan, what to include and guidelines on time-limit expectations.

 

No class would be complete without the change process using journalling to create new habits.  You will walk away with increased knowledge of how to take control of cholesterol issues and decrease the risk for heart disease and its long-term complications.
